Program Manager - Business Transformation (Project Management)



Job Summary

Job Description

The role of the Program Manager – Business Transformation is a critical position within the Medline Project Management Office (PMO). This role requires vast experience leading large projects/programs of work within complex and fast-paced organizations.  Candidates should have experience leading large scale organization transformational initiatives which include setting up new teams, vendor management and organizational change management. This candidate must possess very high level critical thinking skills as they will be leading the largest transformation effort at Medline. Candidates should possess exceptional communication skills and be well-versed in partnering with our internal business sponsors at an executive level.

*This is not an IT Program Manager role, this is an Enterprise Wide Program Management Role for Business Transformation*

Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):

  • Lead cross-functional programs focused on driving enterprise-wide business transformation initiatives, aligning with strategic goals and operational efficiency.
  • Develop and manage program roadmaps, timelines, and budgets, ensuring successful delivery of complex, multi-phase transformation projects.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership and stakeholders to define program objectives, success metrics, and change management strategies.
  • Identify and mitigate risks across program workstreams, ensuring proactive issue resolution and continuous improvement.
  • Drive adoption of new processes, technologies, and organizational models through effective communication, training, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Monitor and report on program performance, providing executive-level updates and insights to support data-driven decision-making.
  • Foster a culture of innovation and agility, encouraging teams to challenge the status quo and deliver measurable business value.
  • Provide leadership and motivation to project team members throughout the project life cycle, and confer with project staff to outline work plan
  • Establish work plan and staffing for project activities, iterations or phases, and arrange for recruitment or assignment of project personnel
  • Perform risk assessment, and implement mitigation plans
  • Establish and track spend and costs for all aspects of managed projects. 
  • Ensure that project goals are accomplished and are in line with business objectives and business value is realized
  • Provide program level status reports and dashboards with key metrics to management.

Formal Education & Certification

  • University degree or college diploma preferred

Knowledge & Experience

  • 10-12+ years direct work experience in a Large Program management capacity, including all aspects of process development and execution.  
  • Demonstrated experience in personnel management.
  • Technically competent with various software programs, such as MS Office Suite

  • Ability to bring Program to successful completion through political sensitivity.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Adept at conducting research into project-related issues and products.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment is crucial.

The anticipated salary range for this position:

$132,600.00 - $199,160.00 Annual

The actual salary will vary based on applicant's location, education, experience, skills, and abilities. This role is bonus and/or incentive eligible. Medline will not pay less than the applicable minimum wage or salary threshold.
