Collections Supervisor (Finance)
Making an Impact
• Directly manage a team of Collections Coordinators and possibly Team Leads
• Providing employee supervision, support, and training
• Select, train, motivate, develop, and evaluate collection personnel
• Provide and coordinate staff meetings and trainings
• Conduct employee evaluations, work with employee to correct deficiencies
• Manage the daily operations of customer collection activities and ensure the quality of work meets expectations
Sharing Expertise
• Manage and participate in the development and implementation of goals, objectives, policies, priorities, and reports for assigned portfolio
• May be assigned to act in absence of the Sr. Process Owner
• Audit and report on off-shore performance, sharing expertise where needed.
• Participate in various committees or task forces
• Support and carry out administrative, financial, operating and personnel policies of the organization
Gaining Exposure
• Perform the more difficult and complex collection duties of the portfolio, including resolution of escalated customer complaints, resolving payment and customer service issues
• Managing the customer account review process to render decisions when customers dispute charges
• Ensure customer collection activities follow company policies, state and federal legal and regulatory requirements
Your Typical Day
• General management responsibilities including coaching, providing direction and mentorship, and managing Collection Coordinators and possibly Team Leads
• Ensuring project and task completion
• Supporting Process Owners and Directors with day-to-day ad hoc activities
• Supporting field escalations
• Ad-hoc project activities, to drive processing efficiency
• Collection Coordinator training and development
• Participation in meetings
Other accountabilities as assigned
Qualifications:
Required
• 3-5 years of related collection and/or supervisory management experience.
• BS/BA in a business-related discipline, finance or accounting preferred
Nice to Have
• Experience working in a fast-paced and changing environment,
• Advanced Excel skills and/or automated reporting tools experience
• Prior experience working with remote teams (on-shore or off-shore)
