Production Planner/Scheduler (Administrative)
IMMI is seeking a Production Planner/Buyer to join our Production Control and Logistics Team. This position will use their skills in PC&L to schedule production orders for Customer sales order and internal demand across multiple manufacturing lines to ensure we are providing top quality safety products for our clients.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Schedule customer orders from the Order Report by Order Number, based on schedule ship dates. If unable to meet customers dock date, based on material and/or capacity, change customer schedule date in Order Entry/Maintenance program. Advise Master Scheduler when task is complete so acknowledgment can be sent to customer.
• Receive EDI customer releases on a daily, weekly, or monthly basis...depending on the customer and type of software they use, as to how often a release is received
• Use the releases received electronically to plan orders or change the existing ones as needed.
• Work closely with the Project Planner on new projects that require new components that will support the new project. Work closely with the buyer to make sure new components are in-house to meet the customer`s needs.
• Maintain Finished Goods or Assembly inventory at levels designated by the Master Scheduler.
• Evaluate the recommendations given by MRP, and take the required action to release, change, or cancel material and send request to appropriate Planner/Buyer.
• When schedules are not met due to short lead times from Suppliers or Customers, take appropriate action to get handshake agreement from the people who are affected by the change.
• Upon request from Customer Service, evaluate any customer expedites for production capacity and component availability, and provide feedback within the same work day earliest available production date.
• Order returnable containers based on demand as needed.
• Take appropriate actions based on notification for goods from system.
• Schedule goods under well-defined specifications and standards and within authorized ceiling.
• Work closely with Strategic Buyers providing information and solving problems.
• Advise Master Scheduler or Strategic Buyer of any potential demand changes that could adversely affect the supply of components to IMMI.
QUALIFICATIONS
• H.S Diploma or greater
• 3+ years of experience in PC&L scheduling role
• CPIM preferred
• Other Supply Chain related certifications are accepted
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
