Anti-Trafficking Advocate (Finance)
Direct Services
Provide trauma informed, client-centered case management to human trafficking victims that addresses legal needs, emergency shelter, temporary housing, emergency transportation, food and clothingAdvocate for clients within the healthcare system, schools, legal system, social services and community partnersConduct warm hand-off referrals to community partners and resources
Development and implementation of needs assessments and action plans specific to the immediate and long-term reintegration needs of each victimProvide accompaniment services when neededPerform apartment check-ins with clients in WEAVEs housing for survivors of human trafficking.Responsible for community outreach and education on human trafficking and WEAVE services
Facilitate presentations and trainings to local business on identification and support of trafficking victimsAttend and actively participate in local and regional meetings and trainings related to service provision for trafficking victimsFoster problem-solving, conflict resolution and non-violent interactive skills
Other Responsibilities:
Represent and fulfill WEAVEs missiontopromote safe and healthy relationships and support survivors of sexual assault, domestic violence, and sex trafficking.Attend various meetings (unit, advocate, all staff, and in-service) as requiredComplete accurately and timely all necessary data entry, forms, case records, and statistical reports.Submits such documentation to the supervisor/manager within the designated timelines.Fulfill contract obligations and requirementsAssist in the development of presentation/training curriculum when neededAttend and actively contribute in regular supervisory and team/unit meetings, internal training sessions, conferences, seminars, and independent study.Adhere to professional standards and initiate requests for assistance from Supervisor to address new issues or complex concepts.Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
4 year degree and/or 2 years comparable experience with crisis intervention around domestic and sexual violence, and sex trafficking preferredAbility to establish and maintain effective working relationships with representatives from community partner and social service agenciesSelf-directed and self-motivated requiredExperience with Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and data entryExcellent oral and written communication skillsRegular attendanceOpen mind to working with all clients regardless of clients identified race, ethnicity, sexual orientation, gender, immigration status, disability, or any other identifying demographicConsistent demonstration of positive, cooperative, self-motivated, and professional behaviorAbility to be a team player and commit to working together to reach goalsComplete WEAVEs 69-hour training and certification program (post-hiring requirement)Provide a copy of valid California driver license, have reliable transportation, and submit current proof of vehicle insuranceSatisfactory results from DOJ background check(post-employment offer requirement)

Work environment is primarily a busy office setting in a two-story building with stairs and an elevator with delivery of services at emergency shelters expected. Local travel (driving) will be required to attend off-site meetings, response services, and client transport.
