Sanitor - 2nd Shift (Finance)
Maintains production area clean and free of dust, flour, or other unsanitary conditions.
Assembles and disengages equipment requiring cleaning and sanitizing.
Cleans mixers, dough bins, fermentation room, proofer, elevators, oven, conveyors, scales, dividers, hallways, lobbies, lounges, rest rooms, corridors, stairways, locker rooms and lavatories according to job assignments.
Cleans and sanitizes Coating Room equipment, freezer and cooling spirals, and processing tanks.
Cleans out flour, dust, oil, and grease from floors, machines, overhead pipes, conveyors, screens and filters.
Sweeps, mops and sanitizes floor in offices and restrooms, equipment or other surfaces.
Washes walls, ceilings, woodwork, metalwork, windows, door panels, and sills.
Empties wastebaskets and cardboard and bucket container carts and disposes into the proper waste compactors.
May assist Sanitor C and collect, weigh and dispose of scrap dough in holding containers or compactors, and records all information on the disposable waste reports.
Dumps all recycle material in proper containers.
Replenishes bathroom and PPE supplies.
Keep eye stations clean and free of dust.
Cleans all fire extinguishers and perimeter equipment as required.
Picks up refuse from plant grounds and maintains area free of debris.
Must have the ability to use and control all sanitation equipment, such as the floor scrubber, power washers and steam cleaner.
Be qualified to enter confined spaces and be authorized to clean or wash down the flour silos or other confined space tanks.
Contribute to the continuous improvement culture.
Attends company scheduled meetings when applicable (i.e., safety meetings, production meetings, department meetings.).
Informs supervision of any problems or complications that may arise
Participates in special projects and performs other duties as required
In addition to the essential duties and responsibilities listed above, all positions are also responsible for:
Meeting company standards pertaining to quantity and quality of work performed on an ongoing basis, performing all work related tasks in a manner that is in compliance with all Company policies and procedures.
Adhering to Company policies, procedures, and directives regarding standards of workplace behavior in completing job duties and assignments. Must follow all Company Safety policies, as well as all GMP regulations and all lock-out/tag-out requirements according to OSHA requirements.
As an employee at Wenner Bakery, you must also be aware of issues associated with food safety and safe food handling practices that are relevant to your job. Formal training is not required, but in house Food Safety Training conducted by a qualified staff member is mandatory. You must know how to recognize, prevent and alleviate food safety hazards. This position requires good working knowledge of the SQF code
