Counter Sales Associate - SUBMIT RESUME FOR CONSIDERATION - No Phone Calls - HAMTRAMCK Location
Rate of Pay: $19-$21 per hour plus additional quarterly sales bonus.
The Counter Sales Associate a highly motivated individual who provides excellent customer service and support to Caniff Electric customers. Individuals in this position interface with customers daily, relaying accurate information on products, pricing, and stock availability. This front-line sales role acts as a liaison and customer advocate, providing excellent communication. As an extension of the inside sales effort, the Counter Sales representative is responsible to build and maintain business relationships with customers, this is accomplished through exceptional service, accuracy, sense of urgency and practical knowledge of the electrical industry and products we sell. This individual is tasked with the handling and pick-up of will call orders and the writing of counter sale orders for walk-in customers.

o Identifying inventory errors and discrepancies and bringing management to their attention as well as assisting to correct and prevent them.

o General upkeep and housekeeping.
o Stock handling and inventory put-away

Qualifications
o High School Diploma, GED or military equivalent
o Attention to detail
o Problem solver -- identifies creative solutions to correct issues.
o Able to multi-task and work under pressure
o Physical activity including but not limited to being on feet for 6-8 hours per shift, standing, walking, typing/computer usage, ladder usage, bending, kneeling and lifting 50+ pounds intermittently
o Availability from 6:30am - 5pm; occasional Saturday. Typical schedule is an 8 hours work day with overtime as needed, Monday through Friday
o Sense of urgency
o Customer service background
o Previous industry experience and/or sales experience is a plus

Salary: $19.00 - $21.00 per hour
