Environmental Education Instructor (Apple Creek YMCA) (Project Management)
Develop and instruct Environmental Education programs at the Apple Creek YMCA and Bruce B. Purdy Nature Preserve. Environmental Ed programs include school field trips, preschool programs (ages 2-5), summer day camps, special events, and scout groups. Instructor may also assist with caretaking duties for the various program animals in the Nature Study Classroom and with outdoor seasonal projects on the preserve and YMCA grounds. We have two (2) positions open as an Environmental Education Instructor, the schedule/hours vary between the two openings: Position One Schedule: Classes are held as follows (preference given for candidates who are available for more than one class) Mondays 9:00-11:30 AM, Tuesday 8:30-11:00 AM, Wednesdays 12:30-3:00 PM. 3-6 hours per week total, with extra hours available when field trips are scheduled. Position Two Schedule: Weekdays; Flexible schedule between the hours of 8:30 AM - 3:30 PM; 12-16 hours/week, varies by day.
