SUMMARY
The Cyber Security Analyst functions as a member of the IT Cyber Security team and reports to the Director of IT Infrastructure & Security.
The primary responsibility is to protect the company's IT assets from cyber criminals. This is a technical, hands-on role and may directly configure security devices such as Firewalls, Intrusion Prevention, Vulnerability scanners, etc. This position also assists with responding to information security inquiries, and organizing responses to various internal and external security audits. This position is eligible for occasional remote work.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Implement, review and monitor information security controls, including administrative, technical, and occasionally physical controls.
Review, monitor, and analyze logs for indicators of compromise. Review and respond to alerts and reports generated from detection monitoring systems.
Coordinate and participate in risk treatment practices for vulnerabilities and weaknesses.
Stay informed regarding cyber security trends, internal and external to Lynden, and keep management informed about information security-related issues and activities that may affect the organization.
Identify, track, and report any potential information security threats, vulnerabilities, and risks.
Participate in the research, evaluation, testing, recommendations and plans to implement new or updated information security hardware or software. Analyze its effect on the existing environment and provide consultation in the administration of security tools.
Make recommendations to management on enhancements to existing security hardware, software, or related tools.
Assist in the maintenance and updates to information security policy and procedures.
Represent and provide information security guidance through participation in projects.
Participate in execution of IT risk assessments and testing activities, analyzing the results of audits to produce recommendations of acceptable risk, and risk mitigation strategies.
Participate in the maintenance and execution of Lynden's IT Security Incident Response Plan.
Collaborate on and maintain information security metrics that effectively communicates successes and information security opportunities. Maintain information security incident or issue reports.
Collaborate on and administer information security communication, awareness, and training efforts.

Education and/or Experience
A combination of 4 years of experience and/or education in information security, information technology or related field.
Language Skills
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, or technical procedures. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively communicate with and present information to management, internal customers, co-workers, and vendors.
