LMS Administrator & Corporate Trainer (Administrative)



LMS Administrator & Corporate Trainer is a part of the corporate training team to fulfill critical training needs on behalf of Menzies aviation. Such duties include but are not limited to serving as a functional trainer as needed, serving as LMS Administrator for the company Learning Management System (LMS), as well as point of contact between Menzies Aviation and Airline carriers concerning training matters, analyzing training data, assisting in the creation of new training materials as needed as well as distributing communications on behalf of the corporate training team. The LMS Administrator & Corporate Trainer works closely with stakeholders in the business to identify needs and produce results that drive the business forward.   

  • This job can be worked at any of our US sites .       

Primary accountabilities and duties include the following, and other duties may be assigned.

  • Provide Administrative support to locations in the Americas, including but not limited to:
    • General LMS assistance
    • Troubleshooting LMS courses and Employees accounts
    • Qualification and enrollments additions, modifications, and deletions assistance
    • Account updates to include Password reset requested by employees
    • Create course placeholders as requested by locations
    • Update accounts permissions when required and as needed
  • General administrative support to include but not limited to:
    • Uploading courses that the UK and Americas teams develop into the LMS
    • Testing newly uploaded courses to verify that they are working as needed
    • Auditing a set of courses and qualifications every quarter to ensure QC of courses and capabilities on the LMS
    • Meet with Motive Learning regularly to ensure projects for enhancements are on schedule, discuss further enhancements that Motive Learning is working on, as well as improvements that we require
    • Receive support and training from Motive Learning as and when needed
    • Pull monthly stats for the MORSE call, analyze and collate the data, and prepare a slide deck for the presentation on the monthly MORSE call
    • Be the POC between Alaska Airlines and Menzies as well as between Motive Learning and Menzies
  • Addition responsibilities
    • Attend and present on SVP calls, which include preparation of training slide decks for the calls
    • Conduct Menzies Train the trainer, Decision Driving Train the Trainer, and any other Train the Trainer sessions as deemed appropriate
    • Provide in-station support as and when needed
    • Collaborate with colleagues on improving training processes and procedures
    • Report any breaches of statutory requirements or company best practices to management
    • Ensure that the delivery of training courses is aligned to support and ensure safe and secure operations by the highest possible standards of health, safety, security, and all government statutory requirements            

Candidate requirements

  • High school diploma with at least (3) years of experience in ground handling operations or aviation
  • Be an expert in the Microsoft suite of products, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, publisher, outlook, and Teams required
  • Must be able to set priorities, meet deadlines, and manage multiple tasks
  • Expert working knowledge of Motive Learning - Learning Management System (LMS) is advantageous
  • Use proven training metrics to build training programs, complete training needs/ gap analysis
  • Be responsible for the generation, compiling, maintenance, and accuracy of training statistics for the organization
  • Model the company's core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion, and safety of others.
  • Ensure that training provides customer service that meets or exceeds Company standards and customer expectations.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills required
  • Strong team management, collaboration, and facilitation skills
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), NFPA 407, Menzies GOM, OSHA Standards, and government regulations
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the public
  • Assists in the investigation of accidents, injuries, and near misses and cooperates in the preparation of material and evidence for use in hearings, lawsuits, and insurance investigations; will also evaluate root causes and recommend corrective action
  • Valid state driver's license, ability to obtain required security clearances, and ability to obtain a driving icon/authorization from the local airport authority
  • Performs other training duties as assigned by the Director, Compliance Training - Americas or Sr. Training & Compliance Manager
  • Ability to learn quickly
  • Ability to understand and carry out oral and written instructions and request clarification when needed
  • Strong interpersonal skills
