Process Engineer (Engineering)



Voyant Beauty is a full-service partner to the personal care and beauty industry and a leading value-added manufacturer of innovative hair care, bath and body, and skin care products to both established multinationals and fast-growing emerging brands.

We are seeking to add a Process Engineer to our Ridgefield, NJ Team. At Voyant Beauty, we serve our customers at every stage of the brand lifecycle so you will have strong interpersonal skills as you communicate with Voyant Beauty customers, internal R&D, and plant operations.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and implement manufacturing process efficiencies by applying chemical and chemical engineering principles, 5S, and Kaizen events.
  • Develop best practices, routines, and innovative solutions to improve production rates and quality of output while reducing costs.
  • Conduct bench and pilot batch activities for new product restages, and existing products.
  • Maintain an in-depth understanding of product properties and formulas.
  • Review with Chemist and write manufacturing procedures to optimize production of formula while ensuring quality, aesthetics, and batch-to-batch consistency.
  • Assist in the transfer and scale-up of new formulas from R&D and Compounding.
  • Participate in Pre-Pilot and Post-Pilot production meetings.
  • Ensure safe and effective procedures are followed in compliance with cGMP.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned by the Director of Engineering.


Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering.
  • 3 – 5 years of experience in Pilot Lab, Bulk Lab, or related process development in the personal care industry.
  • Proven track record of successful implementation of process improvements.
  • Goal – oriented with strong interpersonal, organizational, and computer skills.
  • Strong analytical and project management skills.
  • Lean, 5S System, or Kaizen training and understanding; Six Sigma Certification.
