We are hiring! Atkins seeks a Traffic Supervisor to join our team in Trenton, NJ. This role will be embedded at NJDOT's Arterial Management Center (AMC) in New Jersey.

How will you contribute to the team?

In this role, as a Traffic Supervisor at the AMC, you will be responsible for the following activities, including but not limited to, the following as part of an 8-hour shift (8AM – 4PM):

  • Monitoring daily performance of traffic operators and the lead traffic operators.
  • Timely submission of daily, weekly, bi-weekly reporting on traffic signal system performance for timing/system adjustments; inter-agency coordination for implementation of incident management timing plans in response to incidents.
  • Troubleshooting traffic signal system and sub-system performance based on experience in operating data video communications network and systems.
  • Performance metrics generation and reporting oversight.
  • Performs such other duties as needed to support the AMC operations.

What will you contribute?

  • B.S in Civil Engineering.
  • Training, academic exposure or in-depth knowledge of traffic signal system monitoring and maintenance.
  • Implementation of the QA/QC policies.
  • Experience with ITS projects including installation and testing of ITS/communication systems and devices.
  • Experience with testing and acceptance specifications necessary for a completely verified ITS implementation.
  • Experience in fine tuning/calibration and updating and modification of Traffic signal systems.

Expected compensation range is between $54,905.00 - 91,508.00 USD annually depending on skills, experience, and geographical location.
