Client Administration is a key moment in the Group Insurance customer journey, where services between New Business Onboarding and Claims are administered. Medical Underwriting is part of that journey, with responsibility for evaluating evidence of insurability to determine whether coverage can be granted. The work performed by this team helps bring peace of mind to our customers, as they secure Life and Disability coverage.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
Oversight of a team of 13-15 medical underwriting professionals, including hiring, performance management, coaching and development
Evaluation and general oversight of workflow in partnership with service vendor
Complex Issue resolution
Identifying areas of opportunity to simplify or enhance customer experience, in collaboration with other business units
General oversight of risk management activities such as audits, regulatory alerts, department of insurance inquiries, etc.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree preferred
3-5 years of customer service or operations experience
1-2 years of leadership experience managing teams or projects
Experience in Operations, vendor relations and/or financial services required
Excellent written and verbal telephone and communication skills
Ability to think strategically and evaluate process effectiveness
Demonstrated ability to deliver in a fast-paced environment
Work effectively with various sites
Strong interpersonal skills
Substantial problem solving and issue resolution skills
Able to work flexible hours
Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Note: Prudential is required by state specific laws to include the salary range for this role when hiring a resident in applicable locations. The salary range for this role is from $79,900.00 to $118,900.00. Specific pricing for the role may vary within the above range based on many factors including geographic location, candidate experience, and skills. Roles may also be eligible for additional compensation and/or benefits. Eligibility to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program is subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance. In addition, employees are eligible for standard benefits package including paid time off, medical, dental and retirement.
