We're looking for a Senior Software Engineer with a strong passion for supporting live PC or mobile game development and a proven track record of delivering high-impact technical solutions. In this role, you'll work closely with both internal and external partners to drive development from concept through live operations, with a focus on automation, integration, and infrastructure.

This role offers a flexible hybrid work week, with a mix of remote and on-site days. While hybrid is the standard arrangement, you're also welcome to work on- site full -time if you prefer. Our primary studio location is Irvine, CA.

Responsibilities:

• Own and drive technical initiatives across mobile and PC platforms, with a focus on building pipelines, optimization, and performance.

• Design and implement automation improvements that enhance productivity for both internal and external development teams.

• Collaborate with our co-development studio and Blizzard partners to design, document, and improve integrations.

• Develop and maintain monitoring and alerting systems critical to the health of Diablo Immortal's infrastructure.

• Provide guidance in programming, debugging, and optimization to development partners.

• Participate in live operations support, including on-call rotations and critical launch moments.

• Work closely with QA, feature developers, design, and production to identify and mitigate technical risks.

• Collaborate effectively across time zones and demonstrate flexibility, including occasional travel to partner locations such as China.

Minimum Requirements:

• 8+ years of experience in software development or equivalent experience demonstrated through impactful contributions in similar technical roles.

• Strong coding background with proven skills in at least one of the following: Python, Java, Kotlin, Swift, Objective-C, JavaScript, Ruby, C/C++, or C#.

• Experience with CI/CD systems (e.g., Jenkins) and cloud infrastructure (e.g., Kubernetes, AWS, GCP).

• Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills .

• Ability to work autonomously in a lean, fast-paced environment.

• Excellent communication skills and stakeholder management experience.

Bonus :

• Experience developing on Windows, Linux, or mobile platforms (Android/iOS).

• Background in game development or tooling .

• Expertise in developing on Windows, Linux , or Mobile (Android/iOS) operating systems .

• Experience with game development and/or tooling .

• Cloud infrastructure experience (k8s, AWS, GCP) .

In the U.S., the standard base pay range for this role is $101,000.00 - $186,754.00 Annual. These values reflect the expected base pay range of new hires across all U.S. locations. Ultimately, your specific range and offer will be based on several factors, including relevant experience, performance, and work location. In addition to a competitive base pay, employees in this role may be eligible for incentive compensation. Incentive compensation is not guaranteed.
